We think novated leasing should be as easy to understand as it is valuable.
Novate.it was built by a software team, not a fleet company. That shows in the product: the numbers are transparent, the process is online end to end, and the same system serves the driver, the employer and the funder.
Why we built it
The product existed. The experience didn't.
Novated leasing has been available in Australia for decades, and for most of that time it has been sold the same way: a PDF quote, an email chain, a call centre, and a back-office system designed for managing corporate fleets. Employees find it confusing. Employers find it administratively heavy. Funders receive settlement packs assembled by hand.
We started with the calculation — every formula, every threshold, every state schedule — and built outwards: a quote wizard anyone can use, a consultant workspace that prices against real rate cards, an employer portal where policy is configuration, and a partner portal that delivers complete data.
The result is one platform where the figure you see in the wizard is the figure on your payslip and in the funder's schedule — because it was calculated once.

Transparent numbers
Every quote shows the full breakdown: finance, each running cost, the GST removed, the FBT treatment and the fees. If we can't show it, we don't charge it. - 02
No pressure
The calculator works without an email address. Quotes are self-serve. A consultant confirms pricing when you ask them to, not before. - 03
Straight talk on tax
We tell you what the exemption covers and what it doesn't, what's reportable, and where a lease might not suit you. It's in our FAQs in writing. - 04
Built for the phone in the car park
Claims, odometer readings and signatures happen where you are. The portal is a progressive web app that works offline where it matters. - 05
Every change is on record
Quotes, policies and documents are versioned and audited. The customer signs a specific version. Nothing is edited after the fact.

How we protect the data behind a lease.
A novated lease involves salary, identity and finance data for three parties. We treat all of it as sensitive.

Australian hosting
The platform runs on Microsoft Azure in Australian regions. Customer data does not leave the country. - 02
Encryption
TLS 1.2+ in transit; AES-256 at rest for databases, documents and backups. Secrets are held in a managed key vault, never in code. - 03
Identity and access
Multi-factor authentication for every user. Four roles with least-privilege permissions. Single sign-on for employers who want it. Sessions expire. - 04
Audit trail
Every field change, approval, document generation and download is logged with actor, time and source, and retained for seven years. - 05
Testing
Automated tests on every calculation branch; static analysis and dependency scanning in the build pipeline; independent penetration testing annually. - 06
Privacy
We collect what a lease requires and nothing else, and we don't sell or share data for marketing. Our privacy policy says so in plain language. - 07
Resilience
Geo-redundant backups, point-in-time restore, and a tested recovery plan. Staging and production are separate environments with separate credentials. - 08
Third parties
E-signature, vehicle data, payroll and funder integrations each run through an interface with a manual fallback, and each provider is assessed before connection. - 09
